Columbia Prof Says Religion is (gasp) a Human Invention

Dr. Oliver Sacks (neurologist) states that religion is a human invention primarily because people are hooked on the need for stories. Homer could have told you that almost 3,000 years ago.
This is one of those “discoveries” that you always felt was true, so when an academic says it you hit yourself in the forehead and say “SHEESH, DUH!”
