Okay, this is my first experience with Old Man Gloom. After one listen I get the feeling that this album sounds like half-assed b-sides from Isis’ SGNL albums or something. The ambient parts don’t mesh so great with the loud, sludgy, doomy parts, but at least I am hearing the good sounding VOX of Aaron Turner. I hope the later albums have more nuggets in them than this.
