I just couldn’t let this one go by without commenting at least briefly on it.

So the illustrious Mr. Malsteen has (finally) gotten himself a decent vocalist: Tim “Ripper” Owens, the vocalist for post-Halford Priest and for Iced Earth, among other bands. I’m not a huge fan of the high falsetto that many of these types of bands are known for, but I think that Owens is a step up from most of Malmsteens past vocalists, who were unbelievably unbearable. We’ll see what the new album they collaborate on sounds like. Here’s a sample of a cover they do of “Mr. Crowley.”
